Subject: [IML] IFW: New Tutorial
Okay all this silly chatting has made me decide to create a tutorial. It is
done in IFW but the same basics should apply to the Amiga. It is a truly
useful object - The Beer Mug. You can find it at the link below on the
Graphics page. It is not finished, I get you the basic shape, but still need
a handle, and texturing. Enjoy! Let me know what you think.

Steve, a quick comment. The screen dumps you used in your beer mug
tutorial are all JPEGs. You should use JPEG for high-color images, like
photos or renders. Dialog boxes, which only use a few colors, are much
better served as GIFs: you'll get smaller file sizes _and_ pixel-perfect
renditions, without those annoying JPEG artifacts. (I'll bet you tried
minimizing the artifacts by increasing the JPEG "quality" or decreasing
the JPEG "compression" parameters, which boosted file size without
giving you a truly acceptable screen dump)
